We are partnered with an early-stage drug development company targeting the ubiquitin pathway for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease, rare mitochondrial diseases and fibrosis. We are looking for a driven, organised, and proactive individual to assume a permanent lab-based position and join the Translational Biomarker team based in the Southeast of the UK. Responsibilities: Discovery and development of biomarker assays for clinical utility Contribute towards target biology mechanic understanding, through evaluation of cellular, molecular, and genetic mechanisms, portfolio programs Support projects through designing and performing in vitro assays Link mechanism of action molecules to patient populations Requirements: PhD in a relevant field Experience within biomarker discovery/target engagement assay development and validation Exposure to clinical biomarker assays ideal Experience in working with human samples including blood/PBMC’s and omics ideal Experience working within fibrosis, CNS, renal physiology desirable Experience with some of the following techniques: flowcytometry, high content imagines, ELISA, qPCR, IP and HTRF
