Overview

In this role you will drive quality for English-to-Dutch machine translation of Dow Jones Newswires, improving accuracy and consistency across financial news. You will lead R&D and QA for the MT engine, build glossaries, and refine prompts to shape tone and technical precision. You’ll collaborate with Product, Editorial, and Data Strategy to scale our Dutch-language market offering. This position blends linguistic excellence with AI-driven workflow innovation in a demanding newsroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and QA initiatives for the English-to-Dutch MT engine and perform daily output audits
• Define and implement correction policies to ensure Dutch products meet editorial standards
• Architect and maintain comprehensive glossaries for financial and economic terminology
• Engineer and iterate prompts to evolve style, tone, and technical accuracy of automated news feeds
• Partner with global stakeholders across Product, Editorial, and Data Strategy to drive workflow efficiencies
• Map third-party content to enrich our Dutch-language market offering
• Modernize content generation by translating and refining automated templates for real-time updates

Key requirements

• Native-level Dutch (C2)
• Strong LQA and MTPE experience
• Proficiency with CAT tools and terminology databases
• Specialist financial terminology knowledge for English-Dutch translation
• Hands-on GenAI/LLMs experience and prompt engineering basics
• Background in fast-paced editorial environments (preferred)
