The ORTEC branch in Spain is specialized in Engineering services, maintenance engineering, integrated logistics support, supportability, reliability and maintainability engineering and technical translations.

Our team is in charge of developing engineering studies for the creation, update or optimization of aircraft Maintenance Programs, using specific methodologies, for different customers
– main European aircraft manufacturers or vendors.

/ppbr/ppOur Linguistics Department is looking for strongFreelance or Staff employee /strong technical translators specialized in, and with demonstrate experience in, translating documents from French to German (FRàGE) to reinforce our in-house translations teams in our production center in Madrid.

/ppbr/ppWe are looking for translators with experience in technical translation, from strongFRENCH /strong to strongGERMAN /strong and vice versa, and technical documentation like aircraft maintenance manuals, industrial installations instructions, ground vehicles maintenance or other similar technical language- related translations.

/ppbr/ppstrongJOB DESCRIPTION /strong /ppYou will be mainly involved in: /ppAnalysis of source documentation authored in French or German, in collaboration and close contact with our technical authors.

/ppTranslation from French to German and from German to French.

/ppManagement of translation memories in automatic translations software (TRADOS).

/ppCross-check processes in accordance with our Quality Assurance processes.

/ppbr/ppstrongPROFILE /strong /ppWe are looking for candidates whose profile matches the following characteristics: /ppTranslation or Interpretation studies /ppExperience in translations of technical texts from Spanish and English into German or French /ppExperience in the translation of technical texts from other languages, such as English.

/ppKnowledge in Simplified Technical English (STE) standard /ppExperience in maintenance manuals and / or real maintenance experience.

Systems or structures general knowledge, systems operation, structural repairs, data sheets or other technical domains.

/ppUse of translations software e.g.

TRADOS STUDIO /ppXML / SGML authoring experience /ppExpert in Microsoft Office /ppGood organizational skills /ppAbility to focus on priorities and deliver on time to agreed standards /ppService-oriented attitude /ppExcellent oral and written communication skills in the different languages.
