Overview

In this role you will localise Farfetch’s product information for Japanese audiences, safeguarding accurate materials, fabric compositions, and size & fit details. You will manage translation workflows, memories, and terminology to ensure high-quality, consistent content across platforms. You’ll contribute to improving localisation processes while preserving Farfetch’s distinctive tone of voice. This is a collaborative, fast-paced opportunity to shape how luxury products are presented to local customers.

Responsibilities

• Translate and localise product information with emphasis on materials and size & fit details
• Localise product catalogue and content for cultural nuances
• Manage translation workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Maintain translation memories and terminology databases for consistency
• Review and clean outdated copy to keep catalogue accurate
• Participate in initiatives to optimise translation processes and content quality
• Ensure consistent language and tone across website, descriptions, emails, and campaigns
• Collaborate with multilingual team to share best practices
• Utilise localisation tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy
• Contribute to continuous improvement of translation quality and efficiency

Key requirements

• Native-level fluency in Japanese
• Experience in writing, translating, and localising luxury or high-end e-commerce content
• Ability to craft customer-centric content for local audiences
• Experience managing translation workflows and terminology databases
• Proactive mindset for process improvement across departments
• Familiarity with localisation tools (TMS, Machine Translation)
• Experience with SEO and e-commerce platforms like Shopify or Magento is a plus
