Korean to English Translator & Proofreader (Remote freelance)

Who we are

Mother Tongue is a worldwide network of creatives, strategists and linguists. We offer language services to a range of global clients, and have a range of transcreation copywriters who localize existing campaigns and create original content in foreign languages.

We are expanding our team of freelance KO>EN translators and proofreaders for an ongoing webcomic project.

Who we are looking for

• Linguists with native-level proficiency in English and professional proficiency in Korean
• Previous translation or proofreading experience
• Prior experience in fun, creative copy similar to webcomics, gaming, marketing, subtitling, etc.
• Capacity to translate or edit at least 5,000 Korean characters per week
• Responsive with strong attention to detail and communication skills

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to sign an NDA with Mother Tongue, complete a Test Piece and if successful, will be onboarded onto Mother Tongue’s supplier management system.

If you are not selected, you may be asked to pursue a freelance engagement with Mother Tongue outside this project.
