ASL Interpreter Full Time on the ground NEW

A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support high school students in Bethlehem, PA. This role requires working 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, totaling 32.5 hours weekly. The contract starts ASAP and continues through the end of the school year (EOSY).

Key qualifications for this role include:

• Certification with either a minimum 3.5 EIPA score or RID credential
• Ability to obtain or already possess required clearances and documentation, including:
  • ACT 168 Form (valid for 5 years)
  • ACT 126 Form (Mandated Reporter) (valid for 5 years)
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance (valid for 5 years)
  • PA Fingerprints – ACT 114 (results provided by candidate, valid for 5 years)
  • TB Test
  • PATCH background check (valid for 1 year; requires payment)
  • Arrest and Conviction Report (valid for 5 years)
  
  

Responsibilities include providing high-quality sign language interpretation services to support effective communication for students with hearing impairments at the designated high school. The interpreter will collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate inclusion and access to the curriculum.

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $68 and a consistent weekday schedule. Priority will be given to candidates who already have the necessary clearances in hand.
