English-Vietnamese Linguist – Freelancer Freelance translator (online)

Job Description:
– Translate and author English–Vietnamese content with high linguistic and contextual accuracy.
– Perform localization quality checks to ensure compliance with client style guides, glossaries, and tone of voice.
– Proofread and edit content to maintain consistency and quality.
– Collaborate with the localization team to resolve linguistic issues and improve workflows.
– Deliver translations and QC results within agreed timelines, even for urgent requests.
– Maintain a high level of cultural and linguistic awareness to adapt content appropriately for the Vietnamese market.
– Keep internal terminology databases and translation memories updated.
Job Requirements
– Minimum 2-3 years of professional translation or localization experience (English ↔ Vietnamese).
– Experience in LocQC, proofreading, or editing is a big plus.
– Native in Vietnamese with excellent grammar, vocabulary, and style.
– Strong English reading comprehension and writing skills.
– Familiarity with localization processes.
– Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
