Head of project Management (Translation) HEAD OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT (TRANSLATION)CIRCA £50,000FULLY REMOTE About the roleProvides sales support, project team management and coordination of all Creative and Language Services projects, from proposal generation through project close to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.Main responsibilitiesClient ManagementSets and manages client expectationsWorks in support of each Director of Business Development, assisting in new and existing account presentations, leading presentations as requested by Business DevelopmentInteracts with Business Development and customer at the beginning of a project to share ideas and shape projectsDevelops relationships with client personnel that foster client tiesCommunicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutionsContinually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationshipsBuilds a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectivesSome travel is required (approximately 25% on an annual basis is anticipated) Project Management & LeadershipWorks directly with customer personnel in understanding the scope of the translation projectResponsible for the proposal and estimate process within the guidelines providedResponsible for managing the translation contracting quote, award and performance processManages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and their scopeEffectively applies ICRS methodology and enforces project standardsMinimizes Company exposure to risk on projectsEnsures all project documentation is complete, current and stored appropriately Candidate requirementsDegree in Translation or Interpretation (useful)Fluent in English and one other language (useful)Translating / interpretation experience (useful)Previous project management experienceSales and Marketing experience of a project-oriented service background.Specific Translation and/or Desktop Publishing/Design ExperienceAbility to lead and manage a team of people.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Solid computer skills including, but not limited to the specific software programs: Windows, complete suite of Microsoft products, Adobe, and Project Management software.
