CLASS SUMMARY:Performs routine support and paraprofessional work involving a variety of duties related to the oversight and administration of an interpretive center including front desk operations and assistance with interpretive programs and activities and does related work as required under the immediate supervision of the Historical Interpreter and Associate Historical Interpreter. This position also provides assistance in interpreting the daily lives of Civil War soldiers, Clarksvillians, and other county residents during the early to mid 1800s and the effect the Civil War had upon them (economic, social, religious, cultural, etc.).
*PLEASE NOTE: GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF FORT DEFIANCE AND THE CIVIL WAR IN CLARKSVILLE IS REQUIRED. EXPERIENCE IN HISTORICAL, GALLERY, EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM, OR RELATED ENVIRONMENT IS PREFERRED.*

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
