About the Role:

We are seeking a Bilingual Consultant (Japanese – English) with experience supporting enterprise level IT engagements. This role will act as a communication bridge between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and the global delivery team. Familiarity with CMS/CCMS, PLM systems, or technical documentation projects is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Serve as a lead point of contact for all Japanese Clients.

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
• Communicate with our Japanese clients and help in the requirement gathering.
• Co-ordinate between the Japanese client and in house developers.
• Act as a POC for communications between Japanese customer and development team.
• Keep bilingual records of the meetings
• Translate documents for both internal use and external use that may cover different domains such as Development and IT, etc.
• Shall be responsible for Translation, interpretation of IT related project documents/ presentation/emails and communication with Japanese customer.
• Creation of MOM after every Meeting.
•  Facilitate effective communication between Japanese clients/stakeholders and English speaking project teams
• Participate in client meetings, requirements discussions, and clarification sessions to ensure accurate understanding across languages
• Translate key project documents (e.g., business requirements, status reports, change requests) as needed
• Support coordination across project functions: development, QA, content teams, and product owners
• Help ensure cultural alignment and clarity in project expectations and deliverables
• Assist during UAT, training, or deployment phases for onsite/offshore collaboration 

Qualifications

• Japanese Proficiency Certification – N1/N2
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence clients at all levels of an organization.
• Experience with IT terms and MS Office (particularly world, excel, power point).
• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks at a time.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
•  Proficient in verbal and written communication in both Japanese (Business Level/N2 or above) and English
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with project life cycle and basic IT project coordination JIRA, Confluence, Sprint Planning 

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: More than 2 years’ work experience as Japanese Translator/ Interpreter (IT Services).
