Language translator Full Time on the ground NEW

We are looking for a skilled Japanese Language Translator with experience in the automotive domain to bridge communication between our Japanese-speaking stakeholders and our engineering, manufacturing, and customer service teams. This role requires not just language proficiency, but also an understanding of automotive technical terminology, documentation, and workflows.Key Responsibilities:• Translate a variety of content (e.g., Automotive manuals, presentations) from English to (Target Language) and vice versa.• Produce and edit transcripts in line with our transcription style guide.• Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.• Proofread and edit translated material for grammar, consistency, and terminology.• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., content creators, marketing, legal) to clarify concepts and ensure high-quality deliverables.• Maintain and update translation memory tools, glossaries, and style guides.• Perform quality assurance checks on translated documents.• Meet assigned deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneouslyRequired Skills & Qualifications:• Proficiency in English and (Target Language), with excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and the relationship between spoken and written language.• Japanese language certification at B1 or B2 level (JLPT N2 or N3 or equivalent)• Proven experience as a professional translator or in a similar role (typically 2+ years preferred). Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.• Familiarity with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, Memo Q, Wordfast) is a plus.• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to target audiences.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.• Certification in translation (e.g., ATA Certification, NAATI accreditation).• Specialized knowledge in areas such as Automotive.• Experience with localization projects and multilingual content management.Education:• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Languages, Communications, or a related field.Experience:• 1 – 3 Years
