Technical Translator Full Time on the ground

Technical Translator role at Mercor. Position: Bilingual Expert (Greek and English) – Contract, Remote. Commitment: 15–20 hours per week, duration ~2 weeks.

Base pay range

$24.50/hr – $45.00/hr

Role Overview

• Position: Bilingual Expert (Greek and English) – Contract, Remote
• Commitment: 15–20 hours per week
• Duration: ~2 weeks
• Responsibilities: Review and refine AI-generated content in Greek and English. Ensure technical accuracy and translation quality.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated content for technical correctness and clarity in both Greek and English.
• Evaluate explanations and outputs for precision across languages.
• Identify and document translation errors and scientific inaccuracies.
• Verify that translations maintain original meaning and logic.
• Detect and resolve language-specific nuances affecting comprehension.
• Provide feedback to improve AI-generated content and annotation quality.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Must-Have Qualifications
• Native or near-native fluency in Greek and English
• Masters degree or PhD in a STEM or non-STEM field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in bilingual instruction, scientific writing, or technical translation
• Strong attention to detail in evaluating material
• Experience in research, analysis, or academic review
• Ability to clarify complex scientific topics
• Experience with annotation, curriculum design, or AI content review

Engagement Details

• Remote and asynchronous work
• 15–20 hours per week
• Project length: ~2 weeks
