Summary Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Translation to oversee and coordinate all translation-related projects across our curriculum portfolio.
This role will act as the central point of contact between:
• Translation team members
• Curriculum development teams
• Production and design teams
• External translation and typesetting vendors (where applicable)
• UK & US & India PMO stakeholders
The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards, while building scalable processes to accelerate swift, efficient and cost- effective delivery.
Essential Job Functions
• Manage end-to-end translation and localisation projects across digital, print, and hybrid products
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource forecasts
• Coordinate workflows between translators, editors, designers, and product and print manufacturing teams
• Monitor project scope, budgets, dependencies and risks
• Work with the in-house translation and editorial teams to implement and improve translation processes and best practices.
• Work with the in-house translators to ensure product translation style guides, translation memory and other key project documentation are maintained consistently.
• Track KPIs and provide status reporting to UK/US leadership
• Manage vendor relationships where applicable
• Generate, disseminate, and maintain all required project documentation, ensuring that all documents are stored with revision control and accessible by the selected audience.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Degree in Project Management, Languages, Publishing, or related field (preferred)
Technical Skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across international teams
• Strong organisational and risk management capabilities
• Experience working with UK and/or US teams preferred
• Experience managing multilingual content projects
• Strong understanding of translation workflows and tools (e.g., CAT tools, TMS platforms)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification
• Experience with curriculum or education products
• Spanish language skills a plus
