The Translation Specialist coordinates the development of Spanish and other foreign language versions of a client’s surveys. Additionally, the Translations Specialist will maintain a library of all Spanish and other foreign language translations. Communication with internal clients and the translation vendor is required to complete a finished product. The Translation Specialist will become the expert of corporate-wide Spanish language issues (including types of dialects).

Duties and Responsibilities

Spanish Translations

• Translate applicable components from English to Spanish. Perform quality checks for all applicable translations. Perform necessary tasks to ensure Spanish translations libraries are accurate and up to date.

Non-Spanish Foreign Language Translations

• Work with translation vendor to get non-Spanish translations. Perform necessary tasks to ensure non-Spanish foreign language libraries are accurate and up to date.

  
  
  

Survey Translation

• Input translations for non-English survey materials. Document and apply translations to survey components per specification. Quality check forms to ensure non-English text renders correctly for survey components.

Language Library Maintenance

• Review all language libraries, as necessary, to ensure translations are properly logged and error free.

Survey Translations Quality Checks

• Perform quality check tasks to ensure translated survey components are completed correctly.

Documentation

• Work with Supervisor to create process documentation. Update and maintain documentation as necessary.

  
  
  

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 years of experience

• Fluent in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and translating)

  
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

The expected base hourly pay for this position is $20.20. In addition to base hourly rate we offer a competitive benefits package.
