My name is Aida Harun and I am a full-time professional freelance translator for English – Malay and Malay – English pairings.

I am certified by the Institute of Translation and Books Malaysia and I am also a lifetime member of the Malaysian Translators’ Association. I have 4 years of experience translating various types of documents, specialising in legal translations in particular documents dealing with privacy, data protection (e.g. GDPR) and competition law. Apart from legal translations, I also translate and review translations for a variety of marketing and corporate documents, as well as academic papers.

My latest project was translating a book on occupational safety and health law in Malaysia from Malay to English.
