Claudio B, French, English, Spanish. Portuguese to Italian and vice versa translator

French, English, Spanish. Portuguese to Italian and vice versa.

My name is Claudio Buttinelli, from Rome and I am an online multilingual translator and have been working since 2012 for the Canadian web magazine of international economics and politics “Les 7 du Quebec”, (www.les7duquebec.net) where I translate into English and Italian (previously also into Spanish and Portuguese) all the articles that arrive to them every day, in French.

Before “Les 7” I worked from 2002 to 2011 as a translator for the Marxist-Leninist Italian Communist Party, whose leader was a schoolmate of mine, translating the Party’s website into English and translating the articles and documents into various languages. the Secretary General Domenico Savio wrote and which I sent via email to various organizations and progressive parties, including “Les 7 du quebec”, whose editor Robert Bibeau (robertbibeau@hotmail.com) was impressed by, in his words, professionalism and dedication with which I worked, and he asked me to work for him and I accepted and for 12 years, without modesty, thanks to me the articles that could only be read by French speakers, can be read by English speakers, Italians and up to a little while ago also by Hispanics and Portuguese speakers, but which for reasons of too much work I had to sacrifice from the beginning of 2024.

I also translate books, for Robert Bibeau in recent years I have translated some of his books.

But the strangeness and perhaps uniqueness of my work is that I work for free without receiving any money, because the publisher and the webmagazine cannot pay, they are not translation agencies, he says he should give his pension, but I continued and continue to work for free because I like doing this job, even if after the death of my father, which occurred recently, a father who was the real economic backbone, it led me to consider that the time has come to earn money with my work, and Bibeau himself interprets this desire of mine, in inviting me to be known in the online world, to publicize what I have done and what I do, writing among others to many who write in the webmagazine such as Khider, Naba, M.K.Bhadrakumar, indian writer in the blog Indian Punchline (indianpunchline@gmail.com) but in the past he has served as Indian diplomat in former Soviet Union, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan, Turkey etc. He writes mainly on Indian foreign policy and the affairs of the Middle East, Eurasia, Central Asia, South Asia and the Asia-Pacific, and for information I also sent this email to the Indian online translation agencies present in your sector TRANSLATION AGENCIES DIRECTORY also sending them, as a vision of my work, the latest article by Bhadrakumar in Les 7 and translated by the undersigned into Italian and Spanish.

Another writer who writes for “Les 7” is Marc Rousset, graduated in economics, with a doctorate in economics and an MBA from Columbia University and an AMP from Harvard Business School, has just finished writing his new best-seller entitled “Notre faux ami l’Amerique / pour une alliance avec la Russie” “”Our false friend America / for an alliance with Russia”, and remembering me as the translator of the articles of “les 7”, also because on the site each article is preceded by the words “thanks to Claudio Buttinelli this article is also in English and Italian”, (before also in Spanish and Portuguese), then Rousset wrote me and proposed to translate the book into Italian, because for the English, German and Russian versions he was responsible for finding the translators and the relative publishers, he sent me the PDF version of the book in original, and I put it in Word and I translated the book in a meticulous and professional manner, faithfully following the original French version in terms of writing, bolding, note numbers and so on.

When I finished and submitted the work online, now I’m waiting, after a his final viewing, as agreed, for the agreed sum of 1500 euros, because the book has 350 pages, plus notes, for a price per page much lower than the norm, i.e. 5 euros per page also because it would be and will be my first profit.

What Bibeau told me is that, even if I have a talent as a translator, I am very reserved, in fact I am not on social networks and I do not intend to be there, my social network is my email address, any proposal to translate should be sent to my email address, like in this case, not on social media, I am looking,  for sites looking for a translator like World Translation Jobs, but if my not being social will jeopardize the possibility of having material to translate, whatever articles, documents, pamphlets, books etc., that’s fine too, the emotion of having written to you as I have done to other people all over the world it will still stay with me and I would say thanks for your attention and I will try elsewhere.

Sorry if I’ve gone on too long, but it is standard practice for a hypothetical client or translation agency to know as much about the hypothetical translator, in this case me.

I am ready to receive on my address email offers, anyway, when I’ll wait to see if there are any offers, as you said, I’ll see on the site perhaps it has already been taken, or no one is interested, that’s fine anyway, it was nice to write to you, and I will try elsewhere to found in the world anyone needs an online multilingual translator and that this one can count on me, even if I repeat my bitter ironic addition, unfortunately making me pay.
